This painting was born from a very special moment in my life. I created it around the time I found out that a close friend of mine was expecting a baby.
The news filled me with a feeling that was difficult to put into words. There was so much joy, tenderness and love in knowing that a new life was growing inside her. I wanted to capture that feeling in the painting.
The soft, flowing forms came naturally, almost like something growing, unfolding and being gently held. Love of Life is very personal to me. It holds the joy I felt in that moment and my deep appreciation for the beauty of new life.
